Ricardo Rao, M.D., F.A.C.S | Board Certified General & Vascular Surgeon

 

 

Dr. Rao is a St. Louis native who received his medical degree at the University of Missouri, Columbia. He trained in general surgery at St. Louis University and completed a vascular surgical fellowship at Case Western Reserve in Cleveland, Ohio. Dr. Rao is board-certified in both general and vascular surgery. He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He is the founder and president of Midwest Vascular and General Surgery, Inc. and Complete Vein Center of St. Louis. He is the medical director of the Missouri Baptist Medical Center Vascular Laboratory. Dr. Rao has practiced general and vascular surgery for twenty years. He has special interests in advanced endovascular surgery of the aorta, carotid and peripheral arteries. He holds a license in Missouri and Illinois.

Rachel Adams, R.N. | Vein Specialist​ 

Rachel Adams is a native of St. Louis. She attended nursing school at St. Louis Community College and has been licensed in Missouri since 2008. She has experience in both hospital based care and private practice. Rachel’s experience in surgical care and her compassion for taking care of patients makes her a wonderful addition to our practice. Rachel has special training in the management of venous disease including sclerotherapy for the treatment of varicose veins.

 

Dacia Skinner, R.V.T. | Ultrasound Technologist​ 

 

Dacia was born right here at Missouri Baptist Medical Center and grew up in both Illinois and Arkansas.  She studied at the University of Arkansas Medical Sciences and earned her RDMS in general ultrasound in 2001 and her RVT in vascular ultrasound in 2002.  Dacia has been part of our team as a vascular technologist since 2009 specializing in the diagnostic ultrasound of all of our vascular patients.
